HTC Touch Diamond Pocket PC
Looking for a stylish Smartphone that is as powerful as it is sexy? HTC does it again with the HTC Touch Diamond.
Pros
The HTC Touch Diamond is pretty, no doubt about it, but number of features packed into the small package warrant serious consideration for any business professional. With its minimalist design, gorgeous 2.8-inch touch screen and Windows Mobile 6.1 operating system, the Diamond is tough to beat. With 4GB of internal memory, a 528 MHz processor, 192 MB SDRAM and 256 MB of ROM, the Diamond isn't just another pretty face. The TouchFlo 3D feature and keys are well organized and responsive. Rounding out the features are the 3.15 megapixel camera and Wi-Fi Internet access.
Cons
There are a few drawbacks to the HTC Touch Diamond – cramming so many features into a small and sexy package resulted in a few omissions that may cause some to think twice. For starters, there's no dedicated headphone jack. To listen to audio, you need to use the provided HTC headphone cable which means you won't be able to charge the device at the same time unless you buy a Y-Cable. Also, while 4 GB internal memory is plenty, with no microSD slot, heavy users won't be able to expand the memory further. Lastly, screen glare can be a bit of an issue at times and the gloss finish on the back of the unit is a fingerprint magnet!
The Gist
The HTC Touch Diamond is a great portable business device that backs up its great looks with lots of top-notch features. If you're not concerned about expanding the memory beyond 4 GB or some pesky fingerprints, then the Touch Diamond is the one for you.
