The Lexmark X8350 is a multifunction device that can perform all the copying, printing and faxing needs of most small businesses for the relatively low price of approximately $200. The X8350 comes with one black ink cartridge and one three-color cartridge, but many users choose to replace the black cartridge with a special photo cartridge that allows for better looking six-color printing. One of the best features of the X8350 is that it can print directly from memory cards and digital cameras (it even has a 2.4-inch LCD screen for previewing photos before you print them), so there’s no need to copy all of your JPGs onto a computer first.

Despite the fact that it can perform all the tasks required by most offices, the X8350 isn’t really meant for heavy-duty office use. While it’s great for the office of a small business, it’s not necessarily capable of handling the printing, copying and scanning demands of a large staff. Only 100 sheets can be loaded into the front tray, so, if you do a lot of printing, you may find that you have to refill the tray more than you’d like.

The Lexmark X8350 isn’t flashy and it’s certainly not a top-of-the-line multifunction machine, but it gets the job done and it won’t break the bank. It’s ideal for home offices and small businesses.
